What we do
The foundation “Orthopedic Aid Projects” was already established in 1978 under a different name “Orthopedic Project Sierra Leone”. It visited that country twice a year for 2 weeks. Because of the terrible civil war (800.000 dead in total) that started in 1995, the foundation was forced to stop their activities and to leave everything that was built up in 17 years. After the name change to the present-day “Orthopedic Aid Projects “and after extensive/accurate preparations the activities were restarted in hospital “Saint Martin de Porres" in Njinikom, North West Provence, Cameroon, a mission hospital under leadership of the honorable sisters Franciscans, the same order that was active in Sierra Leone. Due to political disturbance our work there ended in 2016.
